First things first....

Well, this is the first time I have set up a blog site so you will have to bear with me. Hopefully it will get better as it goes. We want to document our trip with photos and verbiage for those of you who will be traveling with us in our hearts. So I have much to learn about adding photos and such. Any help is greatly appreciated.
At this moment, we are not sure when we will be able to start on our next trip. But we hope it won't be long. The only thing holding us back now is finishing the solar panel system. Our installer just left and after one more part which is being ordered on Monday comes in then there should be one final day to finish up.
I had surgery 3 weeks ago and the surgeon and specialist have both released me to be able travel while I finish healing. Thomas wants to err on the side of caution and travel locally at first until he is sure I am OK to be farther away from my Dr...just in case. (Thank you Thomas for taking such good care of me. I love you very much.)
For those of you that are not all that familiar with our trailer...she is a 1969 19 foot Streamline Prince. With the model being a "Prince" is it still OK to call it a "her"? LOL When we picked her up the interior was definitely 40 years old! You could feel it deteriorating all around you. She had been sitting for about two years unused.
We have painted the interior, replaced some of the plumbing's pipes, outlets and fixtures, changed most of the lights to 12 volt LED fixtures, installed new heater, replaced the cushions and made curtain. Oh, and she got new shoes (tires) recently. Eventually we would like to replace the floor covering to update it some but otherwise anything else will happen as it is needed.
While this is not her maiden voyage, our desire is to have her ready to boondock. Boondocking means being as self-sufficient as possible without having to pull into an RV Park and pay extra for electric and water etc. Of course we will have to find dump stations and places to fill up with water but otherwise our main expense hopefully will be just food and gas.
That is it for now.
